Ms. Rebecca Bell, 5th Grade Teacher

My name is Rebecca Bell. I love teaching and feel very honored to be a member of the Bishop School faculty.

I grew up in Acton, Massachusetts and earned my bachelor’s degree in social policy from Northwestern University. After graduating from Northwestern, I spent a year working on a presidential campaign and three years working for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Chicago, Illinois. While living in Chicago, I spent many hours volunteering in the Chicago Public Schools. I found my hours as a tutor so rewarding that I decided to move back to Boston to pursue a master’s degree in elementary education.

I earned my master’s degree in elementary education from Lesley University in 2005. Since then, I have taught third, fourth and fifth grade in the towns of Westford and Arlington. This will be my sixth year at the Bishop School and my third year teaching fifth grade.

I live in Arlington with my husband Dan, newborn son Joshua, and Pembroke Welsh corgi Noodle. In my free time, I enjoy reading, taking walks, learning about technology, listening to music, and spending time with extended family and friends in the Boston area.
