Ms. Monica Stowell, Learning Specialist

Monica Stowell is the Learning Specialist at the John A. Bishop Elementary School. Monica & her husband both grew up in the Boston area and have recently settled in Wakefield, MA. They love running/walking around Lake Quannapowitt, enjoying local restaurants, and spending time with their family and friends.

Monica attended Wheelock College and Lesley University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Development/Child Life, and her Masters Degree from Lesley University, in Moderate Disabilities, PreK-8 respectively. Monica has been teaching for 11 years, and has been here at Bishop since 2007. Being a part of the Bishop community as the Learning Specialist, and engaging children in a new way of learning is a passion that she has truly learned to cultivate. She loves to watch students grow and become more confident, successful learners, as well as being a part of each child’s individual success.
