COMMITTEE REPORTSAnnual Fund continues to collect donations. The Annual Fund supports the Teacher Wish List, Teacher Appreciation, School Directory and more.. We ask for a $20 donation per family. Donations may be sent to: OPAC/Ottoson 63 Acton St, Arlington 02476. Activity Day - scheduled for March, will not be held this year due to lack of a teacher contract. Teachers are participating in field trips that are within the contract at this time. Beautification - Planning additional plantings around the school in the spring. Community Service - Planning a Food Drive collection for Arlington Food Pantry. Starting in March for 6 weeks. Info will be sent via notices and email. Drama Production - Fiddler on the Roof March 4, 5. looking for photographer, videotaping , poster printing and help with costumes. Please contact Lisa Galen 643-4865 or Lgalen@rcn.com if you can assist with this. Teacher Appreciation - tentative schedule- Dessert Buffet in March, Lunch in May and Breakfast May or June. Wish List - latest purchases are name tags for Administrative staff. Also looking at alleviating heat on the upper floors of school during May/June- Floors fans, shades. PRINCIPAL'S REPORTHigh School Orientation for 8th grade parents (7th grade welcome to attend also) Wed Feb 25 6-8 pm Arl High School Auditorium. -This program will be repeated in less detail by AHS Principal Steve Woodcock Mar 2 6:00pm at Ottoson. Opportunity for questions from parents. 8th Grade to tour AHS Feb 27th during the school day. Feb is Health and Fitness Month at Ottoson. Notice was sent home
with students. ACE Program - still looking for candidates to fill the fulltime Ottoson position for this year. 610 Cluster is collecting Box Tops for Education. Send in to school attn- Teacher Jim Tiberii 610 cluster. |
