We would appreciate the call before 8:15 a.m. We need a call every day the child is absent or late. In addition, a written note is always required to explain each absence or late arrival, even after a phone call.

A student who arrives late must first go to the main office.  If there is no valid excuse, he or she will get a tardy slip to be signed at home, and may be issued office detention.

In case of illness

If your child seems ill and you are not sure whether he or she should stay home, you may wish to consult district guidelines.

If you decide to keep your child at home due to illness, please let us know by calling the school at 781-316-3744, and follow up with a written note, as explained in the preceding section.

Leaving before the end of school day

If a child has to leave before the end of school day, a note from home is required before the start of the school day. Please bring this note to the main office, where you will receive a form to fill out.  This form has two sections.  The top section is attached to your note and kept in the office.  The bottom section is given to the student.  First, the student shows this section to the teacher from whose class he or she has to leave.  Second, the student takes the bottom section  home to have it signed by a parent or a guardian, and returned to his homeroom teacher.  Please remember that due to safety concerns, we cannot dismiss a student based only on a phone call.

Please schedule appointments outside of school hours, whenever possible.
