New Student Registration

WELCOME TO ARLINGTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS!

The Arlington Public Schools provides education to pre-school through twelfth grade students in seven elementary schools, two middle schools and one comprehensive high school. In addition to our academic programs, the Arlington Public Schools offers after-school programs, enrichment and summer programs, community continuing education courses, and numerous athletic opportunities.

Buffer Zone Information: All registrations received between January 22nd and January 28th will be treated equally for buffer zone assignments. Buffer zone decisions will be sent to parents/guardians during the first week of February for applications received during this time period.

NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION FORM

2020-2021 ONLINE APPLICATION FORM - All Grades for Fall 2020
      Kindergarten registration for the 2020-2021 school year is now open!

REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS: This online form contains Student Enrollment Information, Family Demographics, Emergency Contacts, Health Questionnaire and Permissions. It also contains the Acceptable Use Policy Agreement, Education History and the Home Language Survey. You will need to provide some required supporting documents to complete your application. These documents are necessary to prove residence in Arlington, verify your child(ren)ís age, acknowledge compliance with health regulations and ensure appropriate enrollments. Your application is not complete until these documents are submitted. It is best to gather the required documents before filling out the application. Below is a checklist of which documents fulfill each requirement.

Use this checklist as your guide for registering your student in Arlington Public Schools. It is best to gather the required documents below BEFORE filling out the application. Your application is not complete until ALL documents have been submitted*

  • 2 Proofs of Residence in Arlington: One from List A AND one from List B

    List A
    • Deed
    • Real Estate Tax Bill
    • Water/Sewage Bill
    • Lease
    • Notarized letter from the homeowner (if you are not on the Deed/Lease.
      Letter must be accompanied by a copy of the Deed/Lease)

    List B
    • Utility Bill
    • Confirmation of Service Notice/ Service Agreement/ New Customer Letter (for those who recently moved and have not yet received a bill)
      NOTE: Bank statements, phone bills, excise tax or income tax documents are NOT accepted as Proof of Residence

  • 1 Proof of Birth (student must be 5 years old on or before August 31st)
    • Birth Certificate
    • Passport
    • Proof of Guardianship

  • Health and Immunization Records

  • Transcript/Student Records from previous school (required for students Grades 6-12)

*Documents can be scanned and uploaded within the application to expedite the registration process. There are several PDF Scanner apps available for free in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store if you do not have access to a scanner. District personnel may contact you if there are any questions or follow up regarding your documents
