A.W.A.R.E.
(Adolescents Working on AIDs Responsibility and Education)

  • A.W.A.R.E. was founded in 1997 when the AIDS epidemic first became a highly publicized issue. The club continues today promoting educated sexual activity and awareness of the millions currently affected by HIV/AIDs.

Club 316

  • This club is to establish a safe outlet where kids can explore the Christian faith through discussion and interaction with their peers.

Computer Club

  • The main objectives of this club are to: Explore the world of computers and computer programming, offer computer/technical support to those who seek it, organize educational and fun technology-related field trips, and have fun!

Dancing Pirates Ultimate Frisbee

  • The Dancing Pirates Ultimate Frisbee Club serves to promote good sportsmanship and community while learning and playing Ultimate Frisbee.

Diversity Club
  • This focuses on the issues of racial, cultural, or ethnic diversity at AHS. Club members will plan projects to recognize and celebrate diversity. Potential club activities include: film screenings, discussions about diversity, MLK Day celebration, dance performances, food sharing, and whatever else you have in mind.

Drama Guild

  • The Drama Guild is responsible for the fall play that is not a musical. The shows are chosen to present 4 different playwright’s voices over the course of 4 years. This includes classical, contemporary, and translated plays.

Friends of B.I.P
. (Behavioral Intervention Program)

  • Provides BIP students with volunteers who help facilitate projects in the classroom as well as build friendships.

Future Nurses Club

  • The purpose of the Future Nurse’s Club is to provide professional information to students interested in exploring careers in Nursing. Discussing issues related to Nursing, inviting nursing professionals to visit, and providing opportunities to volunteer will expose potential nurses to many aspects of this valuable career.

  • It is this clubs mission to encourage respect and acceptance of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning (GLBTQ) community and youth and to create a safe space for GLBTQ youth to socialize and discuss al aspects of their lives.

Improv. Club (WLIC)

(Students Against Destructive Decisions)

  • The mission of this club has expanded to approach students with the best prevention and intervention tools possible to deal with the issues of underage drinking, drug use, impaired driving, and other destructive decisions.

SAVE (Students Against Violations of the Environment)

  • The SAVE Club’s primary purpose is to raise awareness about violations and destruction of the environment. We also actively promote environmental sustainability.

(Invisible Children)

  • The purpose of this club is to raise money for schools in Uganda, sponsored by the Invisible Children Organization, so that even those children, who cannot afford school, still have the ability to receive and education.

Science and Engineering Club

  • The Science and Engineering Club acts to support individual students and groups participating in science and engineering competitions.   • This club was founded with the interest to further the student body’s overall knowledge of Shakespearian texts. This done through weekly meetings to discuss and analyze various pieces of Shakespeare’s work.

  • This club provides the students with an opportunity to go skiing and snowboarding on a regular basis with transportation.

  • This clubs mission is to further the interest of speaking and writing to explore different writing styles, and to promote and provide help with public speaking.

STAND (Students Taking Action Now in Darfur)

  • The S.T.A.N.D. Club strives to improve the situation in Darfur by raising money to donate to humanitarian aid organizations, by raising awareness of genocide in the region, and becoming politically active on this issue by way of petitioning and peaceful rallying until the conflict is resolved.

Stick Polo Club
