Ottoson Middle School Resources

The following resources are listed by the Ottoson Middle School Library Media Center for teachers and students to use in the Media Center, in the classroom, and from home.

Please use them regularly, as an alternative to the world wide web, as they provide safe, accurate and middle school curriculum-related information. Some have special teacher features including lesson plans aligned with national standards and rubrics for grading.

Google Google is one of the most popular search engines on the web. Seaching can be narrowed down to images, news, videos, maps and more. Have your ever tried "MORE"? For school work follow the links: even more to directory to reference. It may prove more efficient.


Clusty Clusty is a whole new way to search the web. It queries several top search engines and generates a list that groups similar results together into clusters. Clusters help you see your search results by topic so you can hone in on exactly what you want to discover.


Kart00 KartOO is a metasearch engine with visual display interfaces. Which means it searches widely on the net and displays the results visually.


a9 a9 Select from a number of methods for making your search (web, reference books, blogs, books, people, yellow pages, etc. and the results appear in easy to read columns.


Mooter Mooter clusters results into concepts, allowing faster decisions and deeper digging with less clicks.
