The Kindergarten Information website is currently under review and being updated for the 2017-2018 School Year.

Q: Where is full day kindergarten available?
A: Arlington Public Schools provides a full day kindergarten program to all students in all of the elementary schools. This program is tuition free.

Q: What are the hours for kindergarten?
A: Elementary students will attend school from 8:10 to 2:30 on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. On Tuesday, they will attend from 8:10 to 1:00

Q: How do I find out about after school programs for my kindergarten child?
A: Look for information about after school programs on each elementary school’s website.

Q: Is lunch available? How much does it cost?
A: Hot lunch is available at all schools. At most schools, children eat lunch in the cafeteria. For the 2017-2018 school year, lunch is $3.00 and milk is 60¢. School lunch prices are determined in the spring prior to each school year.

Q: Is bus transportation provided for kindergarten?
A: Because the elementary schools in Arlington are neighborhood schools, transportation is not provided for most students.
