LIVING, LEARNING AND WORKING TOGETHER

Course Description: Kindergarten Students learn about living, learning and working together based on their experiences with their families, school, community, state and country. They listen to stories about the people and events we celebrate in our national holidays and why we celebrate them. Students learn about our national symbols and how they help form our national identity.

• Why do we celebrate certain events as holidays?
• How do we (students) celebrate holidays in our families?
• Why do people work?
• What jobs do people in your community do?
• How do community workers help us?
• What is a community?
• How do people contribute to their community?
• Why do people need national symbols?
