Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations
Michael Mason, Jr. has over 13 years of non-profit and public government finance experience. Of that, Michael has been serving students in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for over ten years managing school finance and business. Michael started his work in public education in Chelsea, Massachusetts where he served a transient population of students where advocacy around increased allocation of state funding was key to providing services.
Michael also is an Executive Board member of the Massachusetts Association of School Business Officials where he leads professional development for other school business officials across the commonwealth.
Michael holds an undergraduate degree from Salem State University, completed the Worcester School Business Administrator Licensure program and is currently in pursuit of an MBA from Boston University.
