Q: Where is full day kindergarten available?
A: Arlington Public Schools provides a full day kindergarten program to all students in all of the elementary schools. This program is tuition free.

Q: What are the hours for kindergarten?
A: Elementary students will attend school from 8:10 to 2:30 on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. On Tuesday, they will attend from 8:10 to 1:00

Q: How do I find out about after school programs for my kindergarten child?
A: Look for information about after school programs on each elementary school’s website.

Q: Is lunch available? How much does it cost?
A: Hot lunch is available at all schools. At most schools, children eat lunch in the cafeteria. School lunch prices are determined in the spring prior to each school year. For the 2021-2022 school year, lunch and milk are free.

Q: Is bus transportation provided for kindergarten?
A: Because the elementary schools in Arlington are neighborhood schools, transportation is not provided for most students.
