Nagaokakyo, Japan

 

Since 2004, the Arlington-Nagaokakyo Student Exchange Program has connected students from Arlington, MA, and Nagaokakyo, Japan, through immersive cultural experiences. Each year, students from both cities visit one another, staying with host families and building lifelong friendships. The Sister City relationship between Arlington and Nagaokakyo is over 40 years old and dates back to 1972.

 

Today, the Student Exchange Program continues to provide invaluable opportunities for students to explore new cultures, gain global perspectives, and strengthen the bond between our two communities.

 

Students from Nagaokakyo will visit Arlington this spring, staying with local host families.
