Welcome & Resource Center
The Welcome & Resource Center is a dedicated resource hub designed to support students and families as they navigate the school system. Whether you are new to the district or need assistance accessing essential resources, the Welcome Center is here to help!
Supports Offered:
- Enrollment Support – Assistance with student registration, residency verification, and understanding school placement.
- Family Engagement & Resources – Information about school policies, district programs, and ways to get involved.
- Basic Needs Assistance – Support with accessing clothing, school supplies, and referrals to partner organizations for essential services.
- Language Support – Interpretation and translation services for multilingual families.
- Spy Ponder Threads – Spy Ponder Threads, located in the APS Welcome & Resource Center, is a free community-driven space where families, students, and staff can access gently used clothing, shoes, backpacks, and essentials while promoting sustainability and care in Arlington. Please note we are not accepting donations at this time.

Interested in volunteering? There are many ways to volunteer at the APS Welcome Center and support students and families in our community. We welcome volunteers to assist with organizing clothing, supporting family events, and helping with various initiatives at the Welcome Center. Whether you have a few hours to spare or want to get involved regularly, we would love to have you!
