District Curriculum Accommodation Plan

What is a District Curriculum Accommodation Plan (DCAP)?

A District Curriculum Accommodation Plan (DCAP) describes the help and support available to all students in Arlington Public Schools. Before a student is referred for special education, APS makes sure every child can access a variety of school professionals. These include social workers, behavior specialists, speech and occupational therapists, school nurses, and student support teams. Each of these staff members can provide support, screenings, and hands-on help directly in the classroom.
