Creating Safe Schools
Arlington Public Schools is committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for every student. Working with the Arlington Police, Fire, and Board of Health, we continually review and strengthen our safety plans, training, and procedures.
Our educators and staff take part in ongoing safety training, drills, and planning to help schools prepare for any situation.
As part of this work, APS follows the I Love U Guys Foundation’s Standard Response Protocol (SRP) to ensure clear, consistent communication during any emergency.
Families can also help create safe schools by staying involved, reporting concerns, and talking with their children about kindness, inclusion, and respect. Working together, we can build schools where every student feels safe and supported.
